A Growth Spurt?!

It has been a pretty rough day around here today. I think that we are hitting our first growth spurt- Miss Halsey decided it would be fun to be awake from 10 this morning until around 5 this evening with only a 20 minute nap in between and nursed most of that time. I am SO thankful for my little blessing but this momma is TIRED! My mom is still here with me (which I don't see how I would have survived without her) and I already tear up when I think about her returning to work on Monday.
How sweet is this little chubby face? Everytime I see it I turn into a big gob of mushiness and want to eat her with a spoon!
Somebody loves bathtime! We had our first bath at home on Tuesday and she absolutely loved it! It amazed us how alert and content she was throughout the whole thing. I am looking forward to all of her "firsts" but I want this time to stand still a little big longer!

A Christmas Gift...

So I haven't blogged in forever but I think I will be kicking myself later if I don't start scrapbooking our lives. So with that- let me introduce you to our newest addition...

Halsey Jayde came into this world December 22nd at 12:47 in the morning weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 21 inches long. It is the best Christmas present that her Daddy and I could ever imagine and we are so in LOVE! I will post the birth story and more pictures later when I have time and patience to figure all this out but we could not be happier and more grateful this Christmas.

A recap and 30 weeks!

I'll start with a little recap. Friday I had another ultrasound to check her growth and my fluid levels. We had to be there EARLY in the morning and Tyler was just thrilled! But we got to see our sweet girl and that's something that we treasure so much! She weighed 2lb. and 14 oz. and was SO busy! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has went by. The rest of the weekend was pretty laid back and we spent it at home watching the Hogs play!

Onto the pregnancy update:

So today I hit the 30 week mark and I think it's starting to hit me that Tyler and I will soon have our little girl here. Today has been and is going to be a lazy day so no picture today but I will hopefully get one tomorrow when I go to the doctor.

I'm 30 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 30 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Halsey is the size of a head of cabbage!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 20 lbs

Maternity Clothes: All maternity jeans, dresses and some regular tops!

Gender: Girl!

Movement: She kicks, stretches, rolls and whatever else she does and I get an instant smile EVERY single time.

Sleep: I don't sleep through the night but that's ok- just preparing me for her!

What I miss: Being able to control my emotions.
Cravings: Anything sweet which probably explains the weight gain!

Symptons: Random dull pains
Best Moment this week: My doctor's appointment tomorrow

So Long Insecurity

So yesterday I went with my sister-in-law to the So Long Insecurity simulcast at our church- it was AWESOME! I've always loved Beth Moore but yesterday she just completely blew me away. Through the whole message I felt like she was talking directly to me. I also picked these up and can't wait to get started-

the book So Long Insecurity and

this cd by Travis Cottrell

If you haven't heard Travis sing, you need to get his cd. He is so talented. Today I need to catch up on laundry and I'm looking forward to relaxing. I hope you had a good weekend as well!
